In Buwere, many children dream of going to school-but poverty, orphanhood or family hardship often keeps them from achieving that dream. Some walk to school barefoot, others sit without exercise books or uniforms. A growing number have lost one or both parents and are being raised by elderly guardians who can't afford to keep them in school and the children are now doing all sorts of petty jobs like carrying garbages, collecting plastics bottles which the sell to earn a living e.t.c.
At Buwere Community Development and Child Support Organisation, we believe that education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. That's why we launched the Sponsor A Child Program-to connect compassionate people like you with children who urgently need support to stay in school, grow healthy, and dream big.
What Your Sponsorship Provides
When you sponsor a child, you give more than money-you give hope, opportunity, and love. Your monthly or annual sponsorship helps provide:
- School Fees - Covering tuition for primary or secondary education.
- Uniforms and Shoes - Giving children dignity and confidence.
- School Supplies - Exercise books, pens, school bags and learning materials.
- Basic Health and Hygiene Support - Soap, sanitary pads for girls and occasional medical care.
- Mentorship and Guidance - Emotional support and regular follow-up by our local team.
