In the rural areas of Buwere, many girls face overwhelming challenges-from poverty and lack of menstrual hygiene support to early marriage and school drop out. Without access to essential care, education, and support, a girl's future can be cut short even before it begins.
At Buwere Community Development and Child Support Organisation, we believe that every girl has the right to learn, grow and to lead.
What the Program Does.
Our Girl Child Empowerment Program supports vulnerable school-going girls through:
- Reusable Sanitary Pads
- We provide eco-friendly, reusable menstrual hygiene kits to keep girls in school every month.
- Life Skills Training and Mentorship
- We equip girls with knowledge about reproductive health, self-esteem, decision-making, and leadership.
- School Attendance Support
- We identify at-risk girls and work with families and schools to ensure they stay in school-especially during adolescence.
- Protection from Early Marriage and Exploitation.
- Through community outreach and advocacy, we raise awareness about the importance of of protecting girls' rights and futures.
