Every Drop Counts. Every Birth Matters.
In the heart of our rural community in Buwere, the only community maternal health Centre serving over two parishes is struggling without access to clean and safe water. Every month, 25 to 34 mothers give birth at this facility-yet water used for cleaning, sterilizing equipment and ensuring hygiene is fetched from a distant, unsafe and often contaminated source.
This is not just a sanitation challenge-it is a life-threatening crisis for both mothers and newborns.
What We've Achieved So Far:
- We completed hydrogeological surveys.
- A borehole has already been drilled-clean water is within reach!
What's Still Needed:
To bring water directly to the maternal health Centre and ensure year-round supply, we urgently need:
- A high-quality water pump.
- Two water storage tanks.
- A basic piping and tap system.
- A small solar setup to power the pump sustainably.
Your support will ensure that every mother who comes to give birth can do so in clean, safe and dignified conditions-and that no child starts life at risk due to preventable infections.
How You Can Help.
- EUR 5/ $5 - can help buy connectors and pipes.
- EUR 20/ $20 - supports the pump installation.
- EUR 100/ $100 - helps fund a storage tank.
"When a mother delivers in a clean environment, her chances-and her baby's-increase drastically. Help us make this possible."
